Mel Flesher started our company as a wholesale repair shop, which developed into the business of repairing school instruments, and in time, offered accessories and books. Eventually, service to schools was added along with offering band and orchestra instruments, and an expanded sheet music department. As you can see by our history, serving the educational community has always been an important part of our company.

Today, Flesher-Hinton Music Company, still owned by the Flesher family, stocks and services top of the line brand name instruments and accessories, and offers an outstanding selection of print music and music software. Our staff is trained to assist you with all elements of the music business and our specialists –from percussion to repair to technology are poised to make recommendations, assist in problem solving, and answer even the most technical of questions.

In addition to sales and service, our instrument rental program has been touted as best in the state. Serving Colorado school music programs since 1951, we know Colorado teachers and we know they count on us for service. With program features such as no interest ever, flexible instrument exchange options, 100% of the rental applied toward purchase, and loaner instruments during repair and maintenance, teachers can feel confident that their students and parents are being treated with honesty and respect.

Over the years, we have expanded to have stores in two locations and we have fulltime educational sales representatives on the road five days a week.
