Durango School District is in need of a certified elementary music teacher for the 2010-2011 school year. The position is 60% (M,W, TH) at one school (Animas Valley Elementary) with FULL BENEFITS and a competetive starting salary. Windsor High School is in need of a choral accompanist, preferably with jazz accompaniment experience. The WHS accompanist duties include three concert choirs and two jazz choirs. Most of the jazz charts have written accompaniment, but invariably some charts are jazz chord accompaniment charts. WHS is on a rotating block schedule, i.e. classes meet every other day for 1.5 hours per class. Day #1 includes hours: 9:30 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Day #2 includes hours: 8:00 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. Wizardry (mixed vocal jazz ensemble) meets daily @ 7:00 a.m. This class is a negotiable time.
